Stand Up Paddle Boarding in Huntington Harbor

Stand up paddle boarding is one of my favorite things to do, especially in Huntington Harbor. You get a really great tan while you're at it too (don't forget to wear sunscreen). I usually wait until there's a good groupon deal at OEX sunset beach, and it's super convenient too because it's located right by the harbor.

Paddle boarding great exercise and easy to learn, and the best part is seeing all the unique, luxurious homes lining the water. I sometimes bring my dog with me on my board, and when it gets to hot, Louie the Dog and I jump off to take a quick swim in the harbor. I hope I can get in a couple more trips down to the harbor before it gets too cold!

Salmon Colored Shirt

Actually... I'm not even sure if "Salmon-colored" is just a fancy way of saying "faded-pink". Either way, it's a perfect shirt in the perfect color for the last month or so of warm weather we'll be having before summer turns into "summer light" (Californian winter).

And I don't know if you have been thinking about this scene from The One with the Tea Leaves from Friends since I said Salmon Colored shirt, but it makes me laugh every time.
Monica: You mean your pink shirt?
Ross: ... 😐Faded salmon color.
Monica: No, I-I haven’t seen your pink shirt.

Hike to the Hollywood Sign

Even though I've seen the sign from my car window countless times, I've never really taken a day to just to go see to see the Hollywood sign, so I packed a couple of sandwiches and set out with a couple of friends.  Doing touristy things around LA is always fun because it helps me see the city the city with an exciting new perspective and appreciation. Even saw them shooting a scene on the drive over, and I did the proper gasp and frantic picture taking.

It's a very fun, and quick hike with a bit of incline going up to the sign (well it is on top of a hill), and you can do two hikes to see the sign from two sides, the front from a distance or right behind it. The hike of the former is 3 miles total and the latter is about 6 miles total. You can always find friendly locals happy to help give directions if needed!

See you on my next adventure!!
